The day before this picture was taken, the skies were clear as I headed out to the mountains in the evening in anticipation of touring and taking pictures the next day. I woke up in the morning and headed out to capture a sunrise. As I drove I realized there weren't many stars in the sky. That is when I realized we were socked in again with smoke. Those poor people and animals who werennot getting a break from the fires. I arrived at Lake Louise and I couldn't see the glacier. So, I decided to walk up to Lake Agnes as I had a whole day between Lake Louise and Moraine Lake to spend. The higher I hiked up, the visibility got a bit better. This is one of my favorite spots on the trail and I loved how the smoke gave a new perspective on this view.
