One day close to suppertime I was out for a walk along the pathway by the river when this chickadee caught my eye. The reason...he was just sitting there. He wasn't flying from branch to branch in a flurry needing to get something done. It really stood out to me that he wasn't going anywhere. So, I decided to take a picture. He then started fluffing himself up and giving a good shake. As I stepped a little closer, he didn't seem to mind the audience. I think I have never spent this long of time with a chickadee who wasn't hopping around.
