I took this picture at the end of last March while I was spending the weekend in Banff. On Friday and Saturday it didn't stop snowing. It was beautiful but almost too wet to bring out my camera. On Sunday morning, the day I was ready to leave I realized that the snow had stopped and the clouds were breaking. I decided to head up towards Lake Minnewanka to see if I could take some photos. I drove to Cascade Pond first and there was not a soul there. No tracks in the snow. As the clouds started to lift a beautiful winter wonderland appeared before me with pine trees covered in snow.
Magic.
