Obsession with Leaves

It has been a couple of months now since the leaves started changing colour and slowly falling to the ground. Even though this action means that the season is changing and soon it is time to rest and winter will be upon us, I do love the beauty in it all.

Endings and beginnings.

A time for letting go of what no longer serves and embrace the new.

Maybe even exciting things to come.

Sweater Weather

I thought this month I would just share with you pictures of leaves that I have taken in September and October. I discovered that I have a little obsession with leaves.

A lot of these pictures were taken not only because I was drawn to the colours of the leaf but also the way the sun would hit it at the moment I encountered it. I do love a good sunlight spotlight to capture some mood in a plant. You will find many of my pictures are a bit dark, but this is what I am drawn to right now in my creativity. I usually try and use a low ISO, a high shutter speed and then a mid f/stop so I can capture most of the leaf.

May you embrace this time of year and find the beauty of nature as she prepares for a long rest.
